I have always been motivated by a curiosity to explore art processes and the way they influence my perceptions and, conversely, by the way my perceptions influence my explorations in art media. Digital image processes give me the freedom to alter and compose picture elements in much the same way a painter is able to build a painting.
Digital imaging can also be subtractive. My newest project “Art Reductions” boarders on the conceptional. I am distilling the iconic artworks to their basic elements: reducing colors, textures, and forms to discover a fundamental essence of the piece.
